Always athletic, but never an athlete, Brooks took his competitive edge to a new level three years ago by trying his first adventure race. A technically strong mountain biker and solid paddler, in his first race he and wife and teammate Tiffanie towed a more experienced teammate for the majority of the race during the biking and running sections. His dedication to his teammates and his knowledge of the sport has only grown since. Over the past three years Brooks has made a commitment to the sport and has lost 50 lbs in an attempt to compete with some of the best athletes around. With his natural biking talents, his ropes and paddling knowledge and his new-found health and running ability, Brooks hopes to be a force in adventure racing for years to come.
